The Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History is thrilled to announce that Art on the Lawn will be a two-day event this year, taking place on September 20th and 21st, 2025. This expansion provides even more opportunities for artists and art enthusiasts alike to engage in a vibrant celebration of creativity and craftsmanship. With a diverse array of artworks ranging from painting and photography to sculpture and mixed media, this year’s event promises to be an inspiring and enriching experience for all attendees. The event is not ticketed and is open to the public, promoting the highest level of community involvement.
Art on the Lawn offers a variety of engaging activities for children, ensuring that young art enthusiasts have a memorable experience. Kids can enjoy face painting and bounce houses, providing fun-filled ways to express their creativity and energy. Additionally, families can look forward to exploring an extra-large community canvas, where children and adults alike can contribute their artistic talents, creating a collaborative masterpiece over the course of the event.
Complementing the artistic atmosphere, an array of food trucks will be on-site, offering a selection of delicious treats and meals to satisfy every palate. As you explore the art and enjoy your culinary delights, live music performances will provide the perfect backdrop, enhancing the vibrant and festive ambiance of Art on the Lawn.
