Volunteer Luncheon

The Museum honored its volunteers with a luncheon served by the staff. The Volunteer Guild held its annual election and chose Jane Murray as president for 2007-2008 and Niki Fallis as vice-president for the same term. Poet and photographer Barry Koplen presented the program -- a reading of his poetry in the Museum's Boatwright Gallery where some of his photography and poetry is currently on display.

The highlight of the annual Volunteer Luncheon was the announcement of this year's Volunteer of the Year. This year's honoree has served at the Museum for the past several years. She has helped with mailings, educational programs and receptions. She helps whenever needed, even at the last minute and is always cheerful. Christina Scearce as this year's Volunteer of the Year.
