Storytelling Festival: Keeping the Oral Tradition Alive

See and hear the Past come to life at the DMFAH with our local Keepers of History.

Celebrate the West African custom of storytelling at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History’s 9th Annual Storytelling Festival: Keeping the Oral Tradition Alive on Saturday, March 6, 2010, from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Help summon the spirit of the story, the music, and the dance of this ancient tradition! Be captivated with tales shared by revered griots [keepers of the word], spellbound by the rhythm of the drums, and inspired by the joy of the dance. Join the fun!

This event is free and open to the public.

History is alive and well at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts & History!
